#67 - New Zealand Maori Waka

A Maori waka or war canoe, moored in Wairoa Bay in the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, New Zealand's pre-eminent historic  site. It was here on 6 February 1840 that the Treaty of Crown.
And Aotearoa (Māori: [aɔˈtɛaɾɔa], originally used in reference to the North Island of New Zealand, is now the most widely known and accepted Māori name for the entire country.
